David Makovsky, Spring 2009
World renowned as an expert on the Middle East, Makovsky currently
serves as a Senior Director and Fellow for the Washington Institute's
Project on the Middle East Peace Process as well as an adjunct
lecturer in Middle Eastern studies at Johns Hopkins University's
Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
A prolific author and political commentator, David Makovsky is a much
sought after adviser on Israeli Arab relations. During his remarkable
career as an award winning journalist, he covered the peace process from
1989 to 2000, held senior posts at Haaretz, the Jerusalem Post, and US
News and World Report, and traveled throughout the Middle East.

HaDag Nachash is one of Israel's hottest bands and was recently featured on the Don't Mess with Zohan soundtrack. Their unique sound comes from their fusion of traditional hip-hop with funk, jazz, electric and Middle Eastern sounds. HaDag Nachash has been making a splash on the international scene with successful tours in the US, Europe and Australia and has been covered in articles by The New York Times and Rolling Stone.
